      Jefferey Pat was born in 1969 in Alert Bay, on Cormorant Island near the Northeastern tip of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. His parents are Frances (Shaughnessy) and Gilbert Pat. The family moved from Alert Bay to Victoria, British Columbia when Jefferey was nine years old. In 1988, he graduated from Belmont High School and began carving silver shortly afterward. Jeff learned the trade from his father, a Master Carver. Jeff worked briefly in retail before deciding to work as a carver full-time. Jeff and his wife, Angelique, along with their two daughters, Marilyn Michelle and Ashley Renee make their home on Vancouver Island.
